Abstract  Abstract

Systems and methods for managing and / or improving interference in a cell may be provided. For example, in embodiments, a partial-band Almost Blank Subframe (PB-ABS) subframe and / or a Spatial Almost Blank Subframe (SABS) may have small and large cells (e.g., pico or macrocells) May be provided and / or used to coordinate communications in networks. For example, PB-ABS may be used for picocell operations or transmissions for reserved areas and / or for specific resources (e.g., resource blocks) and for macrocell operations or transmissions (e.g., (E. G., Frequency) that can be used to define regions or other resources (not those reserved for picocell operations). Additionally, based on beam parameters (e.g., associated with cell partitioning), the SABS may provide additional dimensions (e.g., spatial dimensions) that can be used to prevent transmission in certain spatial directions.
