Abstract  Abstract

A method and apparatus for multiplexing data in a plurality of wireless transmit / receive units (WTRUs) for a high-speed downlink channel is disclosed. The WTRU receives a joint high speed shared control channel (HS-SCCH) including a common portion and a WTRU specific portion. The common portion includes common control information for the WTRU multiplexed in one transmission time interval (TTI), and each WTRU specific portion includes WTRU specific control information for the corresponding WTRU. The WTRU receives a high speed physical downlink shared channel (HS-PDSCH) based on decoding on the joint HS-SCCH. The HS-SCCH includes a group WTRU identity shared by a group of WTRUs.
