Abstract  Abstract

A method of performing a polling procedure in a wireless communication system is provided to perform a polling process at a proper time through a transmitting side, thereby preventing sudden stop of communication. When polling is triggered, an RLC(Radio Link Control) layer sets up a polling bit of a specific AMD PDU(Protocol Data Unit) by 1 (S62,S63). If a timer(T1) is expired, the RLC layer determines whether to perform a polling procedure(S64). When a wireless resource for uplink data transmission is not assigned after the polling is triggered, the RLC layer receives receiving confirmation information from a base station(S65). When information about an RLC PDU corresponding to a serial number K is included in the receiving confirmation information, the polling procedure in the RLC layer is triggered is canceled(S66).
