Abstract  Abstract

There is provided a method and system for performing channelization in a wireless communication network including one or more base stations communicatively coupled to one or more mobile terminals. The bandwidth of the wireless communication network is divided into a plurality of zones in the base station. The resource block is provided to the base station for receiving the transmitted data symbols in the wireless communication network. A plurality of resource blocks are combined in the base station to form a physical basic channel unit allocated to one of a plurality of zones in the base station. The permutation is performed on the physical basic channel unit to form the logical basic channel unit. A channel is formed for communicatively connecting the base station and the mobile terminal so that the mobile terminal can transmit an access grant message and a user identity to the base station to transmit data in the logical basic channel unit.
