Abstract  Abstract

A method and apparatus for displaying a temporary block flow (TBF) addressed by a piggybacked acknowledgment / non-acknowledgment (PAN) field is disclosed. The PAN field may be addressed to generate a predetermined sequence from a temporary flow identifier (TFI) that is masked with a PAN check sequence (PCS). PAN field and the masked PCS. The PCS may be masked to one of the selected TFIs according to pre-negotiated rules. The secondary identifier may indicate the TBF to which the PAN field is addressed. Using a particular value, all assigned TBFs can be represented and the secondary identifier can indicate the TBF to which the PAN field is addressed. The specific values on the PAN field may be used for control purposes to indicate actions that affect the group of receiving stations that list the radio block.
