Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to the field of wireless communication technology, and more particularly to a channel encoding method and apparatus, and solves the problem that there is no Polar encoding method for a physical broadcast channel in a 5G scenario. Embodiments of the present invention determine a polar mother code length according to a transmission resource of a channel, perform polar encoding on data that needs to be transmitted on a channel according to the polar mother code length, and obtain target encoding data. Obtain and process the target encoding data according to the actual bearer length of the transmission resource, and determine the encoding data that needs to be transmitted on the channel according to the processed target encoding data. Embodiments of the present invention can determine the encoding data according to the actual transmission resource length of the channel and ensure that the processed encoding data can be transmitted more accurately on the channel.
