Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for performing selective off-load (SIPTO) of a selective Internet Protocol (IP) or local IP access (LIPA).
SOLUTION: A wireless transmission/reception unit (WTRU) receives a broadcast message from a Node-B. Next the WTRU receives a message indicating that SIPTO service or LIPA service can be used for the WTRU from the Node-B. Then the WTRU uses the SIPTO service or LIPA service to perform communication.
