Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for transmitting uplink feedback information with a WTRU in a CELL_FACH state.

SOLUTION: A method comprises: receiving information indicating an ACK/NACK is supported on an HS-DPCCH from a network; transmitting RACH preamble transmission; receiving the allocation of common E-DCH resources for uplink transmission from the network in response to the RACH preamble transmission the allocation comprising acquisition indication (AI); and transmitting ACK/NACK feedback through the HS-DPCCH after collision resolution under conditions that a WTRU transmits DCCH or DTCH data and the information received from the network indicates that the ACK/NACK is supported on the HS-DPCCH using the allocation of the common E-DCH resources.
