Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable transfer of control from the controller to one of controlees which may occur in a collaborative session with information relating to the entire collaborative session made available prior to or at the time of transfer of control of a media session since the new controller may not be aware of the entire collaborative session when the session control is transferred.

SOLUTION: A method and apparatus for inter-user equipment (UE) transfer (IUT) of collaborative session control and session information between WTRUs are disclosed. A collaborative session control transfer request including ongoing session information is transmitted prior to transfer of session control from one WTRU to another WTRU. The ongoing session information may include information regarding media flows and devices involved in the session. A media control transfer response is transmitted in response to the transfer request.
