Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which containing a light-emitting part excels in visibility of transmission images.

SOLUTION: A light-emitting device WM according to one embodiment comprises a light transmission layer 1 containing a first and a second region and a third region interposed between the two regions and a light-emitting part 2 overlapping the second region or the second and the third regions. A first portion A1 corresponding to the first region of the light-emitting device WM transmits light in a certain wavelength of the visible range at a first transmission coefficient. A second portion A2 corresponding to the second region of the light-emitting device WM generates light by the light-emitting part 2 and transmits light in the certain wavelength at a second transmission coefficient which is lower than the first transmission coefficient. A third portion A3 corresponding to the third region of the light-emitting device WM is composed to have such a distribution of transmission coefficients that the transmission coefficient for light in the certain wavelength decreases from an edge of the first portion side toward an edge of the second portion side within a range of the first to the second transmission coefficients.
