Abstract
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for performing a serving HS-DSCH (High Speed Downlink Shared Channel) cell change from a source cell to a target cell. An RNC (Radio Network Controller) can preload (pre-install) HS-DSCH configuration settings for a target cell to a WTRU (Radio Transmit / Receive Unit). The WTRU receives and stores this preloaded HS-DSCH configuration setting. The WTRU uses the preloaded HS-DSCH configuration settings for the target cell to monitor the HS-SCCH (High Speed Shared Control Channel) on the target cell, provided that the measurement report is triggered by event 1D. Can start. The WTRU starts a timer when the WTRU begins to monitor the HS-SCCH on the target cell, and stops monitoring the HS-SCCH on the target cell when this timer expires. Can do.
