Abstract
A method for using an OSC (Orthogonal Sub-Channel) that employs the MUROS (Multiple Users Reusing One Time Slot) concept in a WTRU (Wireless Transmit Receive Unit) is disclosed. A capability report is received from the WTRU that includes an indication of whether the WTRU supports OSC. A determination is made whether the OSC should be used for the WTRU, and the result of the determination is signaled to the WTRU. If OSC is used for the WTRU, the signaling includes an OSC assignment for the WTRU. In one embodiment, two resources are assigned to the WTRU and each resource is assigned to a separate OSC.
