Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system a base station and a communication device.

SOLUTION: The communication system includes the base station which communicates in a spectrum aggregation mode using a plurality of channels or an MIMO mode and the communication device provided with a plurality of branches comprising an antenna and a signal processing unit for processing signals transmitted and received to/from the base station through the antenna. Each of the branches of the communication device transmits and receives the signals by different channels of the plurality of channels when communicating with the base station in the spectrum aggregation mode and the base station switches the spectrum aggregation mode and the MIMO mode corresponding to a traffic amount.
