Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system that allows a time slot designated as a common physical channel (CPCH) time slot to be reused for user traffic in a wireless communication system.

SOLUTION: A CPCH time slot used in a first cell (102) may be used by a second cell (104) for user traffic under an assumption that the first cell and the second cell transmit control information in different CPCH time slots. The second cell is permitted to reuse the time slot in which the first cell is transmitting control information so long as reception of control information in the first cell is not degraded owing to the second cell reusing the time slot.
