A method (1100; 1600) for wireless communications comprising: receiving, via a user equipment, UE, from a base station, the configuration parameters for performing different random access procedures, RA; notifying the base station of an attribute of the UE by transmitting one or more RA messages according to one of the RA procedures, in which the attribute is indicated by the RA procedure used, in which the attribute comprises the detection (1602) of an interference condition by the UE, in which a first RA procedure (1604) is used if an interference condition is not detected; and a second RA procedure (1606) is used if an interference condition is detected; which further comprises determining (1102) the resource partition information, RPI, which indicates the subframes subject to a cooperative resource partition between a service base station and one or more base stations out of service, and using the RPI when it is performed the second RA procedure.
