Abstract  Abstract

A communication device (10) adapted to limit an increase in the ratio of peak power to average power, PAPR, caused by the application of a precoding matrix for a single carrier transmission over a MIMO radio link, in which the device communication comprises: a transmitter comprising a plurality of antennas (12); wherein the communication device is characterized in that it comprises processing circuitry (16) adapted for a transmission of a single carrier and for applying a precoding matrix to a vector of symbols, to generate a precoded vector, in which said precoding matrix has four rows and two or three columns, in which said transmitter is adapted to transmit said precoded vector over a MIMO radio link, in which said precoding matrix is restricted so that each row comprises at least one zero element, so that the number Non-zero elements in each row is less than the number of columns in said precoding matrix, and in which the precoding matrix is further restricted in the sense that each one of said columns has at least one nonzero element and each of these rows has at least one nonzero element
