Abstract  Abstract

The present invention discloses a method and a system for PS handover processing. During a PS handover process of mobile communications when a handover failure occurs a terminal determines a different failure cause value according to a different cause of the handover failure. The invention further discloses a terminal and a network for PS handover processing. With the invention a network can definitely distinguish among handover failures due to different failure causes so that a reasonable handover control may be performed according to different handover failures and resource allocation may be optimized during the handover process. Thus the technical problems of the prior art may be solved that handover failures due to different failure causes cannot be distinguished and the network cannot perform a reasonable handover control according to different failure causes. Additionally the objective that different handover failures should have corresponding appropriate failure cause values which can not be realized by the current protocols may be achieved by the invention.
