Abstract
The utility model claims a wireless transmitting/receiving unit (WTRU) comprising an antenna a transmitting/receiving unit and a controller; said transmitting/receiving unit is configured to be in the Cell FACH state or the idle mode for sending a random access channel lead code receiving the index of an enhanced dedicated channel resource that responds to the random access channel lead code and sending the enhanced dedicated channel transmission with the selected enhanced dedicated channel transmission format combination. Said controller is configured to be in the Cell FACH state or the idle mode for estimating the power margin according to the maximum sending power of the wireless transmitting/receiving unit the power offset value and the sending power of the random access channel lead code sent at last time. Said controller is also configured to restrict the E-TFC according to said estimated power margin and select the E-TFC according to a supported E-TFC set; then the WTRU generates and sends a protocol data unit (PDU) according to the selected E-TFC.
