Abstract  Abstract

The utility model claims a wireless transmitting/receiving unit (WTRU) for executing the service high-speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) cell change from the source cell to the target cell; the radio network controller can pre-load the HS-DSCH configuration for the target cell to the WTRU; the WTRU comprises an antenna a receiving unit a channel monitoring unit a memory and a controller; the receiving unit receives the transmission of the high-speed shared control channel (HS-SCCH) via the source cell or the target cell; and the channel monitoring unit monitors the signals on the source cell or at least one adjacent cell. The pre-loaded HS-SCCH resource information of the target cell is stored in the memory. The controller starts the timer when the measurement report is triggered by the event ID related to the target cell and uses the pre-loaded HS-DSCH resource of the target cell to monitor the HS-SCCH on the target cell until the timer is expired.
