Abstract
Devices, methods, and systems for registering with a mobile communication network (MCN) over another MCN are disclosed. A device (600) includes a processor (605) and a transceiver (625), wherein the device (600) registers with a first MCN. The processor (605) determines (810) to register with a second MCN via the first MCN and sends a request to establish a data connection with the first MCN. The processor (605) receives (815) a command from the first MCN to initiate an authentication procedure with the first MCN and a registration procedure for registering the device with the MCN. The processor (605): exchanging (820) a plurality of authentication messages with the first MCN, each of the authentication messages containing a signaling message for registering the device (600) with the second MCN; and completing (825) the registration with the second MCN via the data connection in response to successfully establishing the data connection.
