Abstract
A method for determining resources and a wireless transmitting/receiving unit are disclosed. The method includes: measuring a plurality of beam reference signals transmitted from a base station; selecting a beam reference signal from the measured plurality of beam reference signals; receiving a configuration message from the base station, the configuration message including correspondence information about the plurality of beam reference signals, wherein the correspondence information assigns at least one physical random access channel (PRACH) resource set for each of the plurality of beam reference signals, wherein the configuration message is at least one of a broadcast message or a radio resource control (RRC) message; based on the received corresponding information, determining a PRACHresource set assigned for the selected beam reference signal; and transmitting at least one PRACH resource in the determined PRACH resource set to transmit the PRACH signal.
