Abstract
Methods and apparatus for demodulating NR-PBCH signals are disclosed. The method may include receiving a primary SS and an SSs. The received SSS signal may be used as a reference signal to detect a demodulation reference signal, DMRS, of the NR-PBCH. In one approach, NR-PBCH DMRS is associated with SSB indices to improve randomization in synchronization procedures. The NR-PBCH payload may be demodulated using PSS and/or SSS and DMRS. In one embodiment, the NR-PBCH DMRS may be mapped to DMRS REs based on frequency mapping followed by time mapping.
