Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention provide a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and a method performed by the WTRU for multi-Radio Access Technology (RAT) access to MRA operations. The WTRU includes: a non-access stratum, NAS, function configured to communicate with a NAS function of a core network; a transceiver and processor configured to receive, on a first cell of a first RAT, a radio resource control, RRC, reconfiguration message including information to communicate with a second cell of a second RAT, wherein the first RAT is used for mobility management; and the transceiver and the processor are further configured to receive offload traffic from the first cell of the first RAT and a second cell of the second RAT substantially simultaneously.
