Abstract  Abstract

The invention provides a WTRU and a method for establishing Timing Advance (TA). The WTRU includes a processor. The processor is at least partly configured to: identify the WTRU which is configured to run adopted one or more uplink carriers; determining one or more service cell sets, wherein each of the one or more service cell sets includes at least one UL CC set having configured uplink component carriers, each of the UL CC set is configured to use respective TAs of the one or more TAs; identify a TA value from a first DL carrier; identify the UL CC sets; identify at least one uplink carrier of the one or more uplink carriers corresponding to the UL CC sets; and apply the TA value to the at least one uplink carrier of the one or more uplink carriers corresponding to the UL CC sets, wherein the first DL carrier can provide the TA reference for the UL CC sets.
