Abstract  Abstract

claims the use of multiple antennas for uplink transmission method and device. the method comprises: generating a first data stream the first data stream comprises an E-DCH dedicated physical data channel E-DPDCH and the first dedicated physical control channel DPCCH; to generate the second data stream. the second data stream comprises a second DPCCH; determining precoding weights for closed loop transmit diversity using the precoding weight multiplied by the first data stream and the second data stream to generate a plurality of output streams and transmitting the output stream via a plurality of antennas. wherein the first DPCCH and the second DPCCH carry the same pilot sequence and to transmit using different channelization codes.
