Abstract  Abstract

Description is capable of be used for efficient mobility management signalling of technology. In some cases the network may be specified for machine-to-machine (M2M) device and a method of network communication extension. Can be combined with attach accept message position updating receiving message tracking area update accept or route tracking and receiving information to transmit the extension timer. In some cases the multiplier can be used to adjust the timer so as to increase the period of the communication network. Optical network can be transmitted by the timer to change timer is connected with the multiplying unit multiplying the indication.

Techniques are described that can be used for efficient mobility management signaling. In some cases a network can specify an extended timer used for a machine to machine (M2M) type device to communicate with a network. The extended timer can be transmitted in connection with an attachment acceptance message Location Updating Accept message Tracking Area Update Accept or Routing Area Update Accept message. In some cases a timer can be adjusted using a multiplier in order to increase a period at which communications with the network occur. The network can transmit an indication to change a timer by multiplying the timer with the multiplier.
