Abstract  Abstract

This invention claims a method and device for locating terminal in long-period evolution system wherein the method comprises the following steps: according to the synchronous time head of schedule of the terminal and the signal receiving time delay of the attribution base station calculating the spreading time delay from the terminal to the attribution base station; determining the distance from the terminal to the base station using the spreading time delay and determining the position of the terminal relative to the base station according to the distance and the signal incoming wave direction of the terminal; the method and device of this invention uses simple algorithm to realize the location of terminal; it is low in cost low in complexity and high in locating precision.
