Abstract
Claims a method for providing a positive acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) (PAN) field indicator (PANI) and a polling indicator for carrying said method and device. PANI bit supplementary polling (ES/P relative to reservation block period (RRBP) bit and EGPRS) field may indicate a polling scheme and the presence of the PAN field. Alternatively the can using a specific training sequence to indicate the presence of the PAN field in the data block. Alternatively a subject can comprise a block header of the forward error correction (FEC) coding and scrambling a header corresponding to the code bits to indicate the presence of the PAN field by using a specific scrambling sequence. Alternatively capable of generating a header check sequence (HCS) and passes through a predetermined sequence to indicate the presence of the PAN field and HCS.

Alternatively a header check sequence (HCS) may be generated and the presence of the PAN field is indicated by mixing a predetermined sequence with the HCS.
