Abstract
The embodiments contemplate methods and systems that can route an emergency call from a business user / user in a private number plan, or an emergency call initiated by a service on behalf of the user. The architectural extensions of the IMS emergency services architecture can allow an emergency call to be handled in a home network or a local network in which the user can be a visitor (for example, roaming), so that the systems of Appropriate public safety can be informed of the emergency call.
