Abstract  Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the power of a closed circuit transmission in a mobile communication system. Devices for the transmission of communications are known in digital communication systems where it is possible to reduce energy when the data speed is less than the predetermined maximum within a cycle. In order to control transmission energy, the invention proposes an apparatus where a mobile station provides information on the quality of the information received from the base station, and the base station responds by adjusting the power assigned to that user in a shared signal from the base station. . The transmission power is initially adjusted by a large increment and is then lowered at an increasing rate of descent. The mobile station further provides information to the base station about its relative speed and the base station adjusts its transmission according to this information rate.
